Andrew Dilts

Andrew Dilts has experience acting for both private and public companies on a broad range of corporate and securities law issues, including public offerings, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions.

Andrew’s experience includes supporting clients with debt and equity financings, corporate governance matters, continuous disclosure obligations, share and asset sales, due diligence matters, and corporate reorganizations. He has worked with clients in a wide range of sectors, with a focus on natural resources, technology, and emerging company sectors.

Andrew embraces an approach of servant leadership in Canada’s business community, where he has served as an ambassador and committee leader with the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, founding member and chair of Vancouver Startup Week, president and chair of the board of the Yaletown Roundhouse, and an engineering law instructor at the School of Energy of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, among others.

While in law school, Andrew served as editor-in-chief of the University of British Columbia Law Review and was honoured to be selected to speak as the valedictorian of his class at the UBC Faculty of Law. Placing a high value on education, Andrew has authored articles on various topics in his field, including on cybersecurity, start-up business exemptions, crowdfunding, and Canada’s take-over bid regime.

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Andrew served as a lawyer for the Vancouver office of a leading Bay Street law firm, and later for one of Canada’s largest full-service firms.
