Tristan Davis is a 2018-2019 articling student at Cassels Brock. He first joined the firm as a summer student in 2017.
Tristan graduated from the J.D. program at Osgoode Hall Law School. In law school, Tristan received a Dean’s Gold Key Award for his outstanding contribution to the law school and was also a recipient of the Antonio Di Domenico 05’ Prize for academic excellence and leadership. He also acted as a Dean’s Fellow and served as a research assistant to Dean Lorne Sossin.
During law school, Tristan spent four months working for a non-governmental organization in Bangkok, Thailand as the recipient of the Michael Mandel Peace Internship. He also placed in the top five as an oralist in the Corporate/Securities moot. Tristan played an active role in the Osgoode community as a student ambassador, peer counsellor, orientation week leader, and President of the Black Law Students’ Association.
Prior to law school, Tristan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Studies and Global Development from Queen’s University. During his undergraduate degree, he completed his honours thesis where his research was focused on the impact of international laws and economic regulations in the Caribbean. During his time at Queen’s, Tristan participated in varsity athletics and a number of equity-focused campus clubs.
In his spare time, Tristan enjoys watching home-improvement programs, shopping online, playing basketball, listening to music and travelling.
