Sophie Moher is an associate in our Financial Services and Restructuring and Insolvency Groups. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, representing clients on lending transactions and corporate reorganizations. Before joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Sophie summered and articled with the firm.
Sophie graduated from the J.D./M.B.A. program at Queen’s University in 2016. During her M.B.A. studies, Sophie had the opportunity to help a start-up company producing Continuing Legal Education materials with their marketing initiatives. In her MBA program, she was awarded the Noranda Sales Corporation/William G. Deeks Award in strategy.
At Queen’s Law, Sophie was the co-chair of the Queen’s Law Students’ Society of Ontario (LSSO) Committee as well as the Joint Program Students Representative. In the 2014-2015 academic year, Queen’s Law established a student-run online newspaper, Juris Diction, and Sophie was a copy editor and member of the Editorial Board.
Sophie graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychology. During her undergraduate degree, she played on the McGill varsity rugby team and spent a semester at Tel Aviv University in Israel.
Sophie enjoys staying active, cycling and doing yoga. She also enjoys reading and travelling.
