Sean Baraich is a member of the Business Law Group. Throughout his time at the firm, Sean has gained valuable corporate and securities law experience on transactions involving private and public companies. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as a member, Sean was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Sean graduated from the J.D. program at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, with a concentration in business law. In law school, Sean received multiple academic awards and scholarships, including prizes for highest standing in Corporate Law and Labour Law. He was active in his student community as a student representative with Legal Education Outreach and a member of the South Asian Law Students’ Association. He was also a member of the Sports, Entertainment and Law Society where he participated in the 2016 Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada. Sean served as a student clinician at Business Law Clinic at the Allard School of Law providing segments of the business community, who have limited means, with access to legal services. He also worked at the Real Estate Division of the Sauder School of Business as a Finance and Law Tutor.
Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, where he graduated with Honours First Class with Distinction while concentrating in Finance and Human Resources Management. Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Sean was involved in managing a hockey arena products company.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys discovering new restaurants and travelling. He also regularly participates in recreational hockey and soccer leagues.
