Olivia Ells is a member of the 2019 summer student class at Cassels Brock.
Olivia is a J.D. candidate at Dalhousie University, Schulich School of Law in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is an active member of her student community as a volunteer with the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service as a student advocate, with Pro Bono Students Canada on the Will’s Project, and as a volunteer for the Dalhousie Legal Aid Tenant’s Rights Project.
Olivia graduated with an advanced major Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She volunteered as a student advocate at St. FX, representing students in code of conduct breach hearings where she drafted written submissions and oral arguments on behalf of clients. Olivia was the president of X-Debate in her final year at St. FX, during which time she led her team to victory at the Canadian University Society for Intercollegiate Debate Atlantic Novice Tournament.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys reading John Grisham books and watching true crime documentaries. She also loves to spend time with her two cats, Alice and Louise.
