Katie-May is a 2018-2019 articling student at Cassels Brock.
Katie-May, originally from Ireland, graduated from the LL.B. program at Trinity College Dublin. At law school, she served as moot convenor organising events and was an active member of the Free Legal Aid Society. As part of her degree, she spent a full year on exchange at Osgoode Hall Law School. Following her LL.B. at Trinity College, she attended the University of Toronto and completed her LL.M. While at the University of Toronto, Katie-May volunteered throughout the year at Lawyers Feed the Hungry which provides meals to members of the community in need.
Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Katie-May worked for the corporate legal department at Zurich Insurance Company (Canadian Branch), assisting the General Counsel and Senior Assistant General Counsel in providing legal advice and support to various functions across the company. During her time at Zurich, Katie-May was involved in reviewing corporate governance, insurance and other regulatory matters, intellectual property matters, insurance policy documentation and the drafting of various commercial contracts.
Katie-May is a keen baker and is in the process of completing a recipe book. She also has a passion for fashion and is constantly monitoring the latest trends.
