Florence Lau is an associate in our Business Law Group. Her practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and general corporate and commercial law.
Before joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Florence was both a summer and articling student at the firm. During this time, she gained exposure to the firm’s Business, Securities and Financial Service practice areas.
Florence received her J.D. from the University of Toronto. At law school, Florence served on the executive committee of the Asia Law Society and volunteered at the Flemingdon Community Legal Services, where she assisted clients on immigration matters.
Prior to attending law school, Florence graduated as Gold Medalist from the University of Toronto, where she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and History. Florence also previously spent summers working on matters of policy development at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and in corporate law in the Beijing office of a multinational law firm.
