Brittany Schaefer is an associate in our Business and Franchise Law Groups, with a focus on franchising, licensing, distribution and intellectual property. Brittany advises Canadian and international companies on all matters relating to franchising, licensing and distribution including legal and regulatory issues, contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property, and in particular, compliance with Canadian franchise disclosure legislation. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Brittany worked as both a summer student and an articling student at the firm. During this time, she gained experience working on various matters and transactions within the Business Law, Financial Services and Securities Law practice groups. Brittany attended law school at the University of Windsor, where she was a Senior Editorial Assistant for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and served as the Webmaster for the Students’ Law Society. She received the Kellerman Family Bursary for achievement in Securities Law. |
