Ave Bross is a 2018-2019 articling student at Cassels Brock. Ave first joined the firm as a summer student in 2017 where he gained valuable corporate and advocacy experience working with the Business Law, Financial Services and Advocacy Groups.
Ave graduated from the J.D. program at Queen's University in 2018. In his final year at Queen’s, Ave was awarded the Queen’s Law Prize in Fiduciary Obligation for achieving top standing in his Fiduciary Obligation class. While obtaining his degree, Ave was an active member in the Queen's University community, working as Vice President of the Queen's Sports and Entertainment Law Society and as an assistant coach for the Queen's Men's Varsity Basketball Team.
Prior to studying law, Ave graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. He is a four-year Varsity Athlete and served as the captain for the McGill Men's Varsity Basketball Team. During his undergraduate studies, Ave became a member of the Principal's Student-Athlete Academic Honour Roll and was awarded as a two-time Academic All Canadian. He also received the C A Brodie Brockwell Prize and Max and Jennie Schwartz Award for academic excellence.
In his spare time, Ave enjoys traveling and playing sports. Ave has had the privilege of representing Canada through competing in the international Maccabi Games sporting competition. While competing in the 2015 Chilean Games, Ave was honoured as the Canadian flag bearer.
