Alexander De Pompa is a member of the 2019 summer student class at Cassels Brock.
Alexander is a J.D. candidate at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. He is an active member of the University of Toronto Law community. He volunteered at the 519 Legal Clinic and was a member of the law school’s a capella group. Prior to joining Cassels, Alexander worked at a boutique management side labour and employment law firm in Toronto.
Alexander graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with a Specialist in English from the University of Toronto. He received the Reginald Heber Manning Jolliffe Gold Medal for achieving the highest standing in English of all graduating Victoria College students. During his undergrad, Alexander was a research assistant for two professors in the areas of eighteenth and nineteenth century British literature.
In his spare time, Alexander enjoys long-distance running and writing and editing stories. In 2016, he co-founded Augur Magazine, one of the largest speculative fiction magazines in Canada. He serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Augur Magazine Literary Society, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to publishing the work of marginalized Canadian and Indigenous writers.
