On October 30, 2018 Thunderbird Entertainment Inc. completed a reverse take over transaction pursuant to a Plan of Arrangement under the British Columbia Business Corporations Act whereby Thunderbird’s existing shareholders exchanged their shares for shares of Golden Secret Ventures Ltd., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. will continue the business of Thunderbird.
Concurrently with the reverse take over transaction, Thunderbird completed a private placement financing of subscription receipts and convertible debentures having total proceeds of $12.5 million.
Thunderbird is a leading media production, distribution and rights management company employing over 600 personnel based in Vancouver, with offices in Toronto, Los Angeles and London. Thunderbird’s productions focus on childrens’, scripted comedy and drama, and factual/non-scripted content broadcast by conventional means in over 180 countries worldwide and on a number of digital platform including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and iTunes. Productions include series such as Kim’s Convenience, Highway Through HeIl and Beat Bugs. Thunderbird holds the rights to The Beatles music library for use in children’s productions and also holds fifty percent share of the rights to the recently released acclaimed science fiction feature film Blade Runner 2049.
