On May 1, 2019, Sika Canada Inc. and Sika Corporation (collectively, “Sika”), a speciality chemicals company, acquired the Packaged Materials Business of KPM Industries Ltd. (d/b/a King Packaged Materials Company) and King Shotcrete Equipment Inc. (collectively, “KPM”). KPM was a family-owned business and well-established independent Canadian manufacturer of dry shotcrete, mortars and concrete solutions. 

In connection with the sale to Sika, KPM completed a corporate reorganization pursuant to which it transferred each of its business divisions into new, wholly-owned subsidiaries. Each of KPM’s construction and paving division, fabricating division and aggregates division, will remain under the previous ownership.
