Dear Cassels Alumni,

As you may know, Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP recently turned 125 (although I know we don’t look a day over 100!). Auspicious occasions often call for reflection. Why has Cassels Brock been able to not only survive this long, but to thrive? We appreciate how fortunate we are to be able to continue the expansion of our practice and enhancement of our service offerings even during these challenging and highly competitive economic times.

It is with this in mind that I reach out to you. Cassels Brock would not be the law firm we are today without you. You were, and continue to be, a valuable firm resource. Each of you contributed in some worthy way to our firm’s longevity and success. While you were at Cassels, you provided our clients with superlative service. When you left Cassels, you spoke of the firm in glowing terms and referred clients our way. Indeed, many of you are clients. You maintained the friendships you made while here and have continued to be part of the extended Cassels family. Strong relationships are the key to our success.

It therefore seems appropriate that through this newsletter, we recognize our alumni, remind ourselves of where we’ve come from and let you know about the bright future that lies ahead.

Welcome to the inaugural edition of CBXchange. We’ll be publishing it quarterly and hope that you will enjoy it. We also look forward to future opportunities to share experiences while we continue to establish and nurture the relationship between our alumni and our firm.

Keep in touch,

Mark Young
Managing Partner
