Winda Fung is a 2017 - 2018 articling student at Cassels Brock. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2016.
Winda graduated from the J.D. program at the University of British Columbia. In law school, Winda received an academic award for outstanding achievement in Commercial Transactions and the Rosina and Gabriel Iacobucci Prize for high academic standing in Family Law. She also served as a judicial intern at the BC Provincial Court and as a research assistant for Professor Matsui. She was active in her student community as an executive member of the Asia Pacific Law Club and as a clinician at the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. Winda also worked at the Real Estate Division of the Sauder School of Business as a Law Tutor and volunteered for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
Winda graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing and International Business from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. In addition to her involvement with the International Business Conference and the Commerce Community Program, Winda represented the University of British Columbia in a business case competition in Auckland where her team placed second. She also worked at TD Canada Trust and interned for Women in Leadership.
Winda has a passion for food and is always seeking new dining experiences and trying new culinary recipes. She also regularly participates on recreational basketball, volleyball, and flag football leagues. When she is not playing on these leagues, she enjoys hiking, cycling and extreme sports.
