ProfileNicole WashingtonNicole’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate/commercial matters. She acts as counsel to both issuers and underwriters on a wide variety of transactional and non-transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border public offerings, acquisitions of private companies and compliance with securities legislation and other regulatory requirements, including corporate governance matters. Nicole also has experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating various financial and corporate/commercial contracts and dealing with various anti-trust/competition law matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Nicole obtained her Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001 while working in corporate finance at one of Canada’s Big Five Banks. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
