Umesh (Mason) Shan

As an associate in the Securities Group, Mason Shan's practice is focused on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He advises public and private companies on general corporate and securities law issues including corporate governance, capital market regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure obligations and stock exchange listings.

Mason’s transactional experience includes domestic and international public and private company financings, mergers and acquisitions, takeover bids and corporate reorganisations.

Mason also focuses on a variety of oil and gas related matters, including joint venture agreements, joint operating agreements and continuous disclosure obligations concerning oil and gas companies.

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Mason was an associate in the Securities and Energy Group at another major Canadian firm.
