Jennifer Traub

LEXPERT Rising Stars LogoAs a partner in the Securities Group, Jennifer represents both issuers and investment dealers in connection with public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financing transactions. She has particular expertise and experience in the resource sector and has played an integral role in managing some of the largest and most complex corporate finance and M&A deals in the mining industry in Canada.

In addition to transactional work, Jennifer regularly advises public companies regarding general corporate and securities law matters, including continuous disclosure, corporate governance and Canadian stock exchange issues.

Jennifer was selected as one of Lexpert’s Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 in 2011. She is also a member of the Cassels Brock Women's Practice Development Committee and co-chairs the Cassels Brock Women in Mining.

  • Stonegate Agricom Ltd. in its $50 million initial public offering
  • Stonegate in Sprott Resource Corp.’s $50 million secondary offering of common shares of Stonegate
  • Sandstorm Gold Ltd. in its $57.5 million bought deal equity financing
  • Goldcorp Inc. in its US$1.6 billion secondary offering of Silver Wheaton shares
  • Goldcorp in its US$862.5 million convertible debt offering
  • Silver Wheaton Corp. in its $287.5 million bought deal equity financing
  • Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. in its $235 million bought deal equity financing
  • FNX Mining Company Inc. in its $144 million bought deal equity financing

  • Grayd Resource Corporation as the target of Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited's $275 million take-over bid 
  • Goldcorp in its $3.6 billion acquisition of Andean Resources Limited
  • The recipient of Lexpert’s 2008 Canadian Deal Makers Mining Award, Goldcorp in its $1.5 billion acquisition of Gold Eagle Mines
  • Goldcorp in its $250 million acquisition of Canplats Resources
  • Goldcorp in its US$10 billion business combination with Glamis Gold
  • Goldcorp in its US$1.6 billion acquisition of certain mining assets and interests of Placer Dome from Barrick Gold
