ProfileSarah McKinnonSarah McKinnon is a 2011 - 2012 articling student at Cassels Brock. She joined the firm as a summer student in 2010 and is looking forward to broadening her legal skills, particularly in the areas of Financial Services, Securities and Tax. Sarah graduated with a J.D. from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, Sarah obtained a B.A. (Honours) in History from the University of Winnipeg. During her time at law school, Sarah was actively involved with the Women and the Law club as a member of the Executive Committee. She also participated in her school’s mentorship program, mentoring incoming law students during their first year. Additionally, Sarah enjoyed volunteering her time with the school’s legal clinic, acting as an Assistant Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review, and planning orientation week. Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Sarah worked for the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration where she was involved in drafting speeches and media releases and organizing ministry announcements. She has also previously worked as a research assistant for the Senate of Canada. Sarah enjoys yoga, skiing, reading and travelling.
