Ravi Shukla

Ravi Shukla’s practice focuses on information technology and Internet law with an emphasis on intellectual property law.

Although he at one time had a significant involvement in litigation matters before a variety of levels of court, Ravi now approaches his practice primarily from the standpoint of a solicitor and is extremely knowledgeable on both the technology and the business issues that his clients face. He acts for significant suppliers of information technology products and services as well as significant customers of those products and services and on projects arising from those relationships. Ravi’s work includes outsourcing projects and includes the acquisition of outsourced services from Canadian financial institutions.

Ravi is extremely knowledgeable in structuring agreements relating to technology enterprises, technology development, licensing and transfers. He has significant experience obtaining, licensing and enforcing patent and trade secret rights, as well as counselling clients concerning the protection of privacy rights, confidential information and other intellectual property assets. Ravi has a strong background in matters involving on-line marketing and promotions, and has served on the boards of both public and private organizations ranging in size from large multi-billion dollar enterprises to technology focused start-ups.
