ProfileJ.B. PeikesJ.B. is an associate in our Litigation Group, and his practice focuses on plaintiff side personal injury law. Before joining Cassels Brock as an associate, J.B. worked as both a summer and articling student at the firm. During this time, he was involved in a broad range of matters involving catastrophically injured victims and gained experience in areas including motor vehicle accidents, product malfunctions, medical malpractice and occupiers’ liability. While in law school, J.B. was involved with the moot program and hockey team. He was a finalist in the Mathews Dinsdale & Clark's 10th and 11th Labour Arbitration Competitions as a mooter and student coach. He was on the Dean's Honour List in 2007/2008 and won the P.E. Newbury Prize in Family Law. J.B. went on exchange to the University of Groningen in the Netherlands during his final year of law school. After completing the bar admission exams, he spent a month in Ghana working for the Institute of Local Government Studies.
