ProfilePatience Kalu OmokhodionPatience is an associate in the Financial Services Group. Her practice focuses on financial and commercial matters, including commercial lending, cross-border transactions, secured and unsecured debt financings, public-private partnership transactions and joint venture arrangements involving both public and private companies. Before joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Patience spent five years practising law at Clifford Chance LLP in London, England. Patience has experience working with clients on the incorporation, organization and financing of companies; in particular, in relation to the financing of energy, infrastructure and mining projects as well as aviation and vessel financings. Patience has spent many months working with charities in East Africa and South America, providing free legal education and support to prisoners and their children. During her time in London, Patience volunteered at a free legal advice centre serving low-income members of the west London community. Patience has also mentored many students from ethnic minorities seeking to develop financial and/or legal careers, an initiative to encourage more young people from ethnic minorities to pursue such careers.
