Miriam El Ofir is an associate in our Securities Group. Her primary focus is on capital market transactions and business law matters, including equity and debt financings, initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Miriam was an associate at a securities boutique law firm on Bay street. She served as the Newsletter Editor for the Young Lawyers Division of the Ontario Bar Association, and had notable experiences in corporate and capital markets as a summer trainee at a London-based firm, and in the Morocco office of a large global firm.
While at law school, Miriam was a Student Advisor at Queen Mary University of London’s Legal Advice Center where she advised clients on a range of legal matters including corporate and intellectual property law.

|PRO BONO/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
- Miriam was an active member of the Queen Mary University of London’s Pro Bono Society and was selected to be a legal advisor at Singapore’s Pro Bono Law Society
- Miriam has past volunteer experience as a drafter at the Reed Smith Liberty Clinic in London where she assisted on human rights issues, and a student advisor at the Lifeline Syria Legal Clinic in Toronto where she assisted Syrian families applying for asylum in Canada
