Michael Weizel is an associate in our Business Law Group. Michael’s practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, asset and share purchases and public offerings. Michael has also worked extensively within the start-up and emerging companies sector. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Michael was both a summer and articling student at the firm.
Michael received his J.D./M.B.A. from Queen’s University and the Queen’s Smith School of Business. During law school, Michael participated in clinical legal work for the Queen’s Legal Aid program, where he worked with local low-income residents and students of both Queen’s University and Saint Lawrence College. In his final year of law school, Michael spent a semester abroad at Hong Kong University where he focused on international business regulations.
Prior to attending law school, Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University. Michael also previously spent two summers working at a boutique immigration law firm in Toronto.
