ProfileMichael LunguMichael (Mickey) is an associate in the Business Law Group and the Mining Group. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law. In his capacity as an associate in the Mining Group, Michael has assisted major, intermediate and junior mining companies on issues that arise at all stages of the mining cycle involving mining projects in North, Central and South America, Africa and Europe. Michael has experience negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial mining agreements, including: joint venture agreements, exploration agreements, share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, royalty agreements and option agreements. Within the Business Law Group, Michael has assisted on a broad range of corporate and financing matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and share transactions and private equity investments, and has experience drafting general corporate and commercial documents. Michael’s practice lends itself to a diverse array of industries, and he has worked with clients in the information technology, consumer products, infrastructure and mining sectors. Michael was both a summer and articling student at Cassels Brock prior to joining the firm as an associate. While in law school, Michael was actively involved with the Dalhousie Community Outreach Program and the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies.
