ProfileLeigh-Ann McGowanLeigh-Ann McGowan is Assistant Director of Professional Development & Student Programs. She focuses on enhancing the professional development of associates, students and law clerks. By developing these internal relationships, she strives to continue to enhance the firm's strong reputation. Prior to taking on her role as Assistant Director of Student Programs, Leigh-Ann was an associate in the Securities Group. She advised on a number of transactions including public and private security offerings, financings and general securities compliance matters. Before joining Cassels Brock, Leigh-Ann worked at another Toronto law firm where she was involved in a broad range of corporate, commercial and real estate transactions including asset and share purchase transactions, corporate reorganizations and financings. Throughout law school, Leigh-Ann was an Editor, Senior Editor and Book Review Editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. She is the former Chair of the United Way GenNext Cabinet, which creates fundraising and volunteer opportunities for 21 to 35 year olds.
