Kenneth Yolles

As a partner in our Real Estate Group, Ken’s practice deals with all aspects of commercial real estate with an emphasis on development, including condominiums, retail shopping centres, industrial developments and residential subdivisions. In addition, Ken has extensive experience in public/private joint ventures, real estate financing, ground lease transactions, acquisitions, sales and the negotiation of construction contracts. He acts for private developers, institutional lenders, municipalities, public companies and pension funds.

A few examples of Ken’s recent work in these areas include:

  • Acting for Toronto Community Housing Corporation with respect to the unwinding of a public/private real estate joint venture including the legal separation of an integrated apartment building / office building project.
  • Acting for a charitable organization with respect to a joint venture with Variety Village for the ground leasing and development of a state of the art children’s rehabilitation and wellness facility on land owned by the City of Brampton.
  • Acting for a developer client in the acquisition of a shopping centre site and the negotiation of a reciprocal easement and operating agreement with Loblaw Properties Limited with respect to integration with its neighbouring site.
  • Acting for a developer client in connection with the acquisition, development, registration and sale of units of a residential condominium project in the City of Toronto.
