Jessica Zagar

Jessica is an associate, practicing in the area of commercial litigation. She was also a summer and articling student at the firm.  Jessica has been actively involved in cases involving a variety of areas of law, including securities, shareholder remedies, contract disputes, injunctions, oppression remedies, employment and disputes involving investment dealers and advisors. Her experience includes:

• Assisting with two high-profile Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) proceedings (including InterRent REIT)
• Assisting with trial preparation for a Superior Court of Justice trial involving breaches of fiduciary and contractual duties in the context of a joint venture
• Drafting memoranda, pleadings, factums and written closing submissions for Small Claims Court and Superior Court of Justice proceedings

While in law school, Jessica was the recipient of a number of awards for academic achievement including a prize in debtor creditor law. She has also volunteered with the Canadian Liver Foundation and Skate Canada.
