Jennifer Hansen

Jennifer Hansen is an associate in the Securities Group working out of both the Toronto and Vancouver offices. Jennifer represents both issuers and investment dealers and has been involved in various transactions, including public offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions. Jennifer also has experience advising issuers with respect to general corporate and securities law matters, particularly corporate governance practices and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Jennifer was both a summer and articling student with the firm.

Jennifer’s experience includes representing:

  • Goldcorp Inc. in its $44 million bought deal secondary offering of common shares of Primero Mining Corp.
  • Sandstorm Gold Ltd. in its $150 million bought deal financing
  • The agents in Metanor Resources Inc.’s private placement of $10 million convertible debentures
  • Hecla Mining Company in its acquisition of 19.9% interest in Dolly Varden Silver Corporation
  • Paladin Energy Ltd. in the $200 million prepayment for its long term off-take agreement
  • Sandspring Resources Ltd. in its $25 million bought deal financing
  • Cargojet Inc. in its public offering of $28 million principal amount of convertible unsecured subordinate debentures
  • Frontier Rare Earths Limited in its acceleration of the development of its Zandkopsdrift project through a strategic partnership with Korea Resources Corporation

While studying at Queen's University and the University of Western Ontario, Jennifer was actively involved in volunteer endeavours including chairing a community outreach program at local prison institutions, coaching competitive high school cheerleading, acting as an orientation week leader and participating with Pro Bono Students Canada.
