Jason Arbuck
Jason is a partner in the Financial Services Group. His practice is devoted to general business law, with an emphasis on corporate finance matters, including banking, commercial lending, insolvency and the purchase and sale of businesses. Jason also has experience in technology law.
Jason began his legal career at Cassels Brock in 1997. He left Cassels Brock for a short period to gain in-house experience which included employment at the head office of a major Canadian financial institution.
In addition to practising law, Jason has an interest in speaking and education. He has appeared on BNN's SqueezePlay, spoken at many industry events, and guest lectured at the Schulich School of Business. He has also lectured at many continuing education seminars, including Ontario Bar Association seminars.
Jason is a graduate of the LL.B/MBA Joint Degree Program offered at the Schulich School of Business and York's Osgoode Hall Law School. He received both degrees in 1997. Jason also has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Western Ontario. During his undergrad years, he completed the first two Society of Actuaries professional examinations. Jason was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999.
