Jasmine Qin is a 2017-2018 articling student at Cassels Brock. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2016.
Jasmine graduated from the JD/HBA program at the Faculty of Law and Ivey Business School at Western University. At law school, she volunteered as Case Manager for the Western Business Law Clinic, a unique non-profit initiative that provides early stage and start-up companies with legal assistance. She also served as a member of the Western Heart & Stroke Club and Western Consulting Club. While at Western, Jasmine has received a number of awards including winning the Ivey Innovation Challenge in 2014.
Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Jasmine worked for the legal department at Goldcorp Inc., assisting the General Counsel in providing legal advice and support to various functions across the company. She was involved in reviewing corporate disclosures and internal policies and controls to provide recommendations with respect to regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure requirements and governance best practices. Prior to studying law, Jasmine worked as a Risk Management Summer Analyst for GE Capital and as an Internal Audit Intern at the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
Jasmine enjoys playing ping-pong, swimming, and listening to all genres of rock music. She loves to travel and has an unwavering passion for food and coffee around the world.
