ProfileGillian CarterGillian Carter is a 2011 - 2012 articling student at Cassels Brock. She joined the firm as a summer student in 2010. Gillian graduated from the J.D./M.P.A. program at Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law & the School of Public Administration, where she was awarded the Horace E. Read Award for the highest mark in legislation. During law school, Gillian was heavily involved with the Law Students’ Society and in her final year was the Vice-President of Communications. Prior to attending law school, Gillian earned a B.A. (First Class Honours) in International Development Studies and History from Dalhousie University. Before joining Cassels Brock, Gillian’s previous summers were spent working across Canada and abroad. She worked for the Australian government, developing policy directives related to Aboriginal health and violence, and also for a global consulting practice focused on the mining and natural resources sector. Gillian enjoys playing badminton, squash, tennis and soccer and is an avid traveller and reader.
