Eva Bellissimo
Eva Bellissimo is a partner in the Mining and Securities Groups at Cassels Brock. Her practice focuses on corporate finance and M&A involving both domestic and international clients. Eva also regularly advises public and private companies on general corporate and securities law compliance matters. Eva lectures on mining corporate finance at Western University Law School and is a member of the Advisory Council for the DAN Management and Organizational Studies Program at Western University.
Notable transactions in which Eva has been involved include:
- Acting on behalf of a syndicate of underwriters led by Cormark Securities Inc. and GMP Securities L.P. in connection with a $109 million initial public offering of common shares of Teranga Gold Corporation following the $600 million spin-off of the Sabodala gold project from Mineral Deposits Limited to Teranga
- Acting on behalf of Black Iron Inc. in connection with its initial public offering of common shares and concurrent TSX listing
- Acting on behalf of a syndicate of agents led by Cormark Securities Inc. in connection with a private placement of $50 million of subscription receipts and subsequent initial public offering of Dioro Exploration NL
- Acting on behalf of Allied Nevada in connection with a crossborder $283.5 million public offering of shares of common stock
- Acting on behalf of Franco-Nevada Corporation in connection with a $370 million public offering of units
- Acting on behalf of Belo Sun Mining Corp. in connection with its $50 million public offering of common shares
- Acting on behalf of Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Limited in connection with a $240 million strategic investment by Minerals Corporation Limited of Wuhan Iron and Steel (WISCO)
- Acting on behalf of Western Goldfields Inc. in connection with its $315 million business combination with New Gold Inc.
- Acting on behalf of AUX in connection with its $60 million acquisition of Calvista Gold Corporation
- Acting on behalf of Crocodile Gold Inc. in connection with a $136 million business combination with Franc-Or Resources Corporation, and subsequent public offerings
- Acting on behalf of Forbes & Manhattan (Coal) Inc. in connection with a business combination with Nyah Resources Corp. and concurrent TSX listing, as well as subsequent public offerings

- Acting on behalf of Lundin Mining Corporation in connection with its business combination with EuroZinc Mining Corporation
