Profile

Nancy Choi

Nancy is an associate in the Securities Group. She has worked on transactions representing both investment dealers and issuers on a number of public and private securities offerings. Her practice also includes advising public companies on general securities law compliance matters.

Some of Nancy’s recent work includes:

  • Representing Lucara Diamond Corp. in its $110 million subscription receipt financing
  • Acting for the underwriting syndicate in Rubicon Minerals Corp.’s $86 million bought deal financing of common shares
  • Representing Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Limited in its $144 million private placement financing of common shares
  • Representing Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Limited in its $92 million bought deal financing of common shares 
  • Representing Canadian Gold Hunter Corp. in their business combination with Suramina Resources Inc.
  • Acting for the underwriting syndicate in Mirabela Nickel Limited’s $120 million bought deal financing of subscription receipts

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Nancy worked as an associate in the corporate finance department at another major Bay Street law firm. She also co-authored an article on the new amendments to the standards of disclosure for mineral projects.

In addition to her law degree, Nancy completed her undergraduate degree with a focus on biology and was a medical researcher in immunology prior to going to law school.
