ProfileErin BradyErin is an associate in the Financial Services Group and a member of the Corporate and Regulatory Insurance Practice Group. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on corporate and regulatory insurance. Erin has worked for clients in a variety of different industries including domestic and foreign insurance, reinsurance, banking, restaurant services and consumer and industrial goods and services. She also has experience with a wide variety of commercial agreements including asset and share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, supplier agreements and services agreements. Her practice involves mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, formation of insurers, federal and provincial licensing, corporate governance, regulatory compliance matters, working with both federal and provincial regulators, share and asset sales, partnership and shareholder matters, corporate reorganizations and commercial contract negotiations as well as ongoing corporate matters. Erin was seconded to act as Canadian counsel for the Canadian branch of a major insurance and reinsurance company where she gained significant experience advising on insurance policies, corporate governance, licensing and other corporate and regulatory matters. Prior to attending law school, Erin taught English as a second language at the Sacred Heart Adult Learning Centre in Washington, D.C., to recent immigrants. She was the Women's Sector Co-Chair of Lacrosse Nova Scotia as well as a member of the Canadian Women's Field Lacrosse Team. During law school, Erin was an Associate Editor of the Queen's Law Journal, a member of student government and a member of the National Association of Women and the Law.
