Anne-Marie Widner
Anne-Marie Widner is a partner and co-chair in the firm’s Real Estate and Development Group. Anne-Marie's practice covers all aspects of real estate law with a focus on commercial leasing, commercial acquisitions and disposition and real estate development.
Anne-Marie joined the firm in 1985.
Some of Anne-Marie's more notable work includes:
- Counsel for a major Canadian retailer in all aspects of its real estate work, including acquisitions and dispositions, retail and office leasing and negotiation of complex reciprocal agreements and operating agreements;
- Negotiating, on behalf of an educational institution, a long term ground lease to a major public hospital in Toronto;
- Negotiating a long term ground lease between two major public educational institutions in Toronto; and
- Acting for a major non-profit organization in the leasing and leasehold financing work for a large affordable housing project in downtown Toronto.
