The Cassels Brock Fashion Industry Practice Group was there as the exclusive legal industry advisor to the 'Mercedes-Benz Start Up' 2011-2012 program. Mercedes-Benz Start Up is a nationwide, event-driven program that is intended to provide a national platform to discover and support up-and-coming Canadian designers. MARTIN LIM was selected by the panel as the 2011 Winner of the Mercedes Benz Start Up prize, moving them forward to the next stage of this mentoring program. Len Glickman, Sabrina Fiorellino and Jessica Fingerhut of the Fashion Industry Practice Group will be acting as legal mentors for MARTIN LIM designers, Danielle Martin and Pao Lim. Finalists were selected from a nationwide search, and have already received valuable mentoring in the business of fashion by a panel of industry insiders. This unprecedented access to experts, combined with real-world practical experience, will equip participants with a comprehensive roadmap to success combined with the knowledge and confidence required for a thriving career in fashion. |
