Deborah Glatter Comments to The Globe and Mail on Summer Law Student Recruiting Process
Published: 12/21/2010
Deborah Glatter, Director of Professional Development and Student Programs, was quoted in "‘Speed Dating’ for Success on Bay Street," an article which appeared in The Globe and Mail on December 20, 2010.
The article described the recruiting process for summer law student positions at major Toronto law firms.
It was noted that some law firm recruiters regret the pressure that the recruiting process can put on students. “I think it is extraordinarily stressful for them. I think it’s extraordinarily intrusive into their law school studies,” says Deborah Glatter. She and Cassels Brock participated in a 2003 documentary about OCIs called The Genuine Article, which is often shown to students. |
