Cassels Brock is Pleased to Announce INTA Committee Appointments

One of INTA’s most important assets is the talented and dedicated group of 2,200+ member volunteers who serve on its committees and project teams. Participation on an INTA committee offers individuals a unique and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the Association's objectives, network among their peers and raise their visibility within the international trademark community and participation on an INTA Committee is a much sought-after assignment. This year, Cassels Brock is pleased to announce that four of our partners have been appointed to serve a two-year Committee term, commencing in January 2012: Catherine Dennis Brooks, Len Glickman, Shane Hardy and John McKeown.

Catherine Dennis Brooks has been appointed to the INTA Bulletin Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Catherine will be working on the Law & Practice: US & Canada section of the INTA Bulletin. Catherine is a partner in the Information, Communications & Entertainment Law Group and practises in the area of intellectual property law. She provides advice on intellectual property matters, particularly trade-marks, marketing and advertising law, copyright law, and confidential information.

Len Glickman has been appointed to the North America Subcommittee of the Anticounterfeiting Committee (ACC) of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Len is a partner in the firm’s Information, Communications & Entertainment Law Practice where he provides transactional and intellectual property advice to clients in the entertainment, sports and fashion industries.

Shane Hardy has been appointed to the Non-Traditional Trademarks Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Shane is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and practises in the area of trade-mark law. Shane's IP practice has also involved the protection and enforcement of copyrights, patents and trade secrets.

John McKeown has been appointed to the Internet Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). John is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and focuses on providing advocacy and advice concerning intellectual property and related matters, including protecting trade-marks, copyrights, patents, confidential information and misleading advertising and claims under the Competition Act.
