Cassels Brock Lawyers Recognized Among the Best in the Country by Best Lawyers 2019

Publish: 08/21/2018

Cassels Brock is proud to announce that 63 of our lawyers across 28 practice areas have been named to the 2019 edition of Best Lawyers®, the strongest showing ever for the firm.

We are particularly pleased to note that partners Sheldon Plener and Larry Weinberg were named "Lawyer of the Year" for Sports and Franchise Law in Toronto, respectively. Only a single lawyer for each practice area in any given city is selected to be "Lawyer of the Year," and we congratulate Larry and Sheldon on this notable achievement.

Newly ranked in Best Lawyers for 2019 are Jennifer Hansen (Mining), Josef Hocher (Oil & Gas), Signe Leisk (Municipal) and Keith Templeton (Oil & Gas).

Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 39,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honour.
