Cassels Brock Client Extreme Venture Partners Profiled in Toronto Life Magazine

Cassels Brock client Extreme Venture Partners is profiled in the November 2010 edition of Toronto Life magazine. Extreme Venture Partners' genesis, business philosophy and their activities were highlighted in the cover article entitled, "Download My App."
 
Extreme Venture Partners is lauded by Toronto Life as one of the most innovative companies remaking Toronto into a high tech epicentre. Its offices house both investors and some of the startups in which they invest. The goal is to pass on the knowledge to the talent that it funds to help the nascent tech companies, many of which make applications for mobile devices, prosper to increase the probability of success. One of its start-up successes, BumpTop, the developer of a touch-screen application for tablet computers that allows users to arrange objects on the screen into piles or pin them onto walls, was recently acquired by Google.
 
The company also runs Extreme University, a training program for young entrepreneurs who want to prove that they can take a tech idea that will attract investors from inception to execution.
 
Cassels Brock partners Colin Ground and Noble Chummar have acted as counsel to Extreme Venture Partners since the fund's inception in 2008.
