The REX awards, considered the premier event of the year for developers, owners and related professionals in the office and industrial real estate industry, are hosted by the Toronto Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and recognize the ‘best in market’ in six leasing and development categories: Office Lease of the Year, Industrial Lease of the Year, Industrial Development of the Year, Investment Deal of the Year, Office Lease of the Year, Office Development of the Year and Green Project of the Year. Adgar, the real estate arm of the Zur Shamir Group, is a publicly-traded company on the Tel Aviv stock exchange that owns 29 income-producing properties in Canada, Israel, Poland and Belgium with a total area of 268,000 square metres. Adgar received the prize for the Thomas Cook Canada Project located at 75 Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto.
