On April 23, 2010, Ted Frankel spoke on changes to the Rules for Simplified Procedure, a session that was part of the Ontario Law Clerks Annual Programme. Synopsis of Talk: Higher monetary limits means that more claims will fall within these rules. Changes like the two-hour limitation on oral discoveries mean that it’s going to be an adjustment! In addition, Ted will address some of the other significant changes to the Rules, such as the modified timing rules for motions and applications. Ted's practice focuses on commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, debtor-creditor, product liability, securities and bankruptcy/insolvency. |
