Roy, Ken Snider On June 18, 2012, Yamana Gold Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Extorre Gold Mines Limited. Under the terms of the agreement, Yamana will acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of Extorre. The transaction value is approximately $414 million and the transaction is expected to close in August 2012. Cassels Brock acted as Canadian counsel to Yamana with a team that included Mark Bennett (Mining & Securities), Jeffrey Roy (Mining & Securities), Andrea FitzGerald (Mining & Securities), Angela Chu (Mining & Securities) and Ken Snider (Mining & Corporate Tax).
