Wilder, Luke Woolford Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP completed a series of transactions on behalf of The Blackstone Group, one of the largest private equity firms in the world, relating to its investment in Osum Oil Sands Corp. a pure play oilsands company based in Alberta. Blackstone increased its existing equity investment in Osum through a series of secondary purchases from existing shareholders and a treasury financing, together with other leading private equity investors, Warburg Pincus LLC and Camcor Partners Inc.
