Municipal, Planning & EnvironmentalCity of Toronto Zoning By-law: Statutory Public Meeting – June 16, 2010Published: 06/04/2010 By Signe Leisk The City of Toronto is proceeding with its long-awaited draft new Zoning By-law which harmonizes its current 43 stand-alone Zoning By-laws into one. This draft new Zoning By-law is the first single comprehensive Zoning By-law with city-wide application. As the Zoning By-law will affect all land owners in the City of Toronto, those who have land, or develop land, in the City of Toronto, should review the draft Zoning By-law and, in particular, examine how its designations and definitions affect their land. Now that the Public Open House process has concluded, the City of Toronto is holding a statutory public meeting regarding the Zoning By-law on June 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 100 Queen St. West, Toronto. Additional information can be found at www.toronto.ca/zoning and will be available for inspection from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the City’s Community Council locations. As only those who made an oral submission at a public meeting or provided written submissions to Council prior to the passing of the By-law can appeal the passing of the Zoning By-law to the Ontario Municipal Board, it is important to understand how the Zoning By-law could affect your property and to make your concerns known.
