A Brave New World Wide Web: A Collection of Recent Media Addressing the Impact of the New gTDLs

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the global regulatory body for domain names, recently sanctioned the introduction of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) which can now consist of almost any word in almost any language. With 300 to 1,000 new top-level domains anticipated under this new program, including brand-specific TLDs, the decision significantly impacts brand and trade-mark owners and redefines the future of internet marketing.
